March 15th - 18th, 2018 || Bainbridge Island, WA

We'll be there. Will you?

When Laura and I sat down to plan our next retreat, we combed through all the different possible weekends, locations and endless ideas that we had for future retreats. After going back and forth for a while (like, ummm... since June), the conversation went something like this:

ME: Well, there's really only space for one retreat next year, so I'd really just want to book it at our favorite place.

LAURA: Totally, yes. Let's do Bainbridge.

ME: {silence}... Is it bad that I I really only want to hang out with our people?

LAURA: Yah, me too. {sigh}

ME: Wait... can we do that?

RReunite. With us. With each other. With yourself.

The answer was YES. Yes we can. So we decided to invite our favorite people (that's you!) to our favorite place (Islandwood!). This retreat will build on the work we've already done together and take you even further.

We'll do some yoga, some writing and share tons of new tools and powerful inquiry techniques. As always, there will be time to learn balanced with time to rest and connect.

Food and Accommodations

Good food is a vital part of the retreat experience and every bite matters. This simple-yet-intentional philosophy guides Chef Jim White's approach to IsandWood's dining. His menus showcase local, organic and sustainably sourced ingredients, simply prepared and thoughtfully presented. Retreat registration covers all meals from Thursday evening to Sunday morning as well as coffee and snacks throughout the day.

Registration includes lodging, either single or double. You can choose to have your own room and bathroom or you can choose to room with a friend. Each room has two sets of bunk beds (so no one is stuck on the top bunk.) These rooms are beautiful, cozy and clean and each has a view of the forest.

Our group will share a private lodge. Our workshops, lectures and restorative yoga practice will take place in the great room of our lodge overlooking the stone fireplace and lush forest.

Location and Details

Laura and I believe that gorgeous locations are fundamental to the retreat experience. You'll be surrounded by the grandeur of the Pacific Northwest, the lush forest and miles of footpaths. IslandWood is a beautiful 250-acre campus on Bainbridge Island and was founded in 1999 as an environmental learning center created to improve access to meaningful, nature-based learning experiences.

Islandwood Retreat Center is located in Bainbridge Island, WA. Closest Airport: Seattle (SEA). You probably won't need a car once you get to Islandwood -- so plan on ride sharing from the airport or taking a taxi/Uber to the ferry station. You'll need to take the ferry to Bainbridge Island and there will be another short taxi ride to IslandWood. Click here for ferry schedule

Arrival info for Thursday, March 15: You can check in any time after 4:00 pm. We'll have dinner at 6 pm and our welcome workshop will start right after dinner.

Departure info for Sunday, March 18: We will have breakfast as a group and our closing workshop ends at 11 am.

What to pack: Casual & comfortable clothing – layers to keep you comfortable regardless of the weather. (Remember that the Pacific Northwest is typically WET this time of year.) Walking shoes or boots. A raincoat with a hood, or an umbrella. Warm sweater or jacket. Personal toiletries and hair dryer. A flashlight. A good book, knitting, etc. for relaxing in front of the fireplace. A yoga mat will be provided for you. You may of course bring your own yoga mat if you wish. All meals are included.

We really want ALL of you to come. The problem is that the lodge only has room for 15 people and there are 60 of you. That means that if you want to reserve your spot, you have to do it ... like... right now.

Single occupancy. $1990. Deposit of $350 at sign up and balance of $1640 due on January 31, 2018.

Double occupancy. $1790 each. Deposit of $290 at sign up and balance of $1500 due on January 31, 2018.
