Feel Worthy in 5 Seconds Flat

5 second Cheat Sheet

Step one

Open Your Heart

The four core worthiness emotions: fear, shame-y guilt, anger, sadness. When your heart is open you’re able to receive useful feedback from these feelings. When your heart is closed, you’re not able to receive feedback or process your feelings.

Step two

identify the feeling

Fear feels fast, anxious, nervous, worried. It sounds like: I might miss out. She might reject me. He might not love me. I’m being left behind. I don’t know what to do.

Shame-y-guilt feels like a pit in your stomach, it’s a slow, painful feeling. It sounds like: I’m not good enough, not smart enough, not pretty enough. I can’t have those things. I always screw it up

Anger feels fast, strong, and hot. Like a surge of wanting to protect. It sounds like: That’s not fair. That’s not ok, or needing to set a boundary.

Sadness feels slow, heavy. It literally makes the physical space around your heart hurt. It sounds like loss, grief, loneliness, and isolation.

FIVE SECONDS TO ACT

Worthiness is about two things: the first is to open your heart (meaning feel the emotion), the second is to have a strong backbone (meaning take action.)

Fear means: wake up to all five senses. Shame-y-guilt means: connect with someone or something. Anger means: get strong and protect. Sadness means: soften and let go.
